Math Journeys 2011 – Day 6

We welcomed the first day of summer with cooler weather and lots of great learning! Many teachers continued to focus their efforts on helping students understand the peach tart problem that was introduced yesterday. Other teachers finished that problem and moved on to a new problem involving sub sandwiches. Students’ fractional knowledge continues to improve more and more each day. It is exciting for the staff to see this happening throughout the school.

After lunch, students worked on creating rules for the games they designed yesterday, and many students began redesigning their games to make them even better.
