Tutoring is available primarily online and in person at public libraries in Oviedo and Casselberry upon request.
Sessions are offered in 25-minute or 50-minute increments. Sessions must be scheduled in advance through the booking system. Students should join from a quiet space with reliable internet. If technical issues prevent tutoring for more than 10 minutes, the session will be rescheduled or credited at the tutor’s discretion.
Payment will be invoiced to the client and is due in advance of the session.
Cancellations or reschedule requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full. No-shows will be charged the full session fee. Emergency situations will be handled with grace and discretion.
Sessions will end at the originally scheduled time, even if the student arrives late. If a student arrives more than 10 minutes late, the session may be forfeited without refund. If the tutor is running late (rare), the session will be extended or rescheduled as appropriate.
Tutoring is offered for middle & high school math, college-level math, and selected civil engineering courses. Tutoring focuses on skill-building, concept understanding, and problem-solving, not completing graded work on the student’s behalf.
Students are expected to come prepared with relevant materials (notes, assignments, textbook, calculator, etc.). Progress depends on participation and effort during and between sessions. Tutoring is most effective when paired with regular practice.
Respectful behavior is expected at all times. Disruptive, inappropriate, or unsafe behavior may result in termination of tutoring services without refund. Math Journeys reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services at its discretion.
