Discover Your Math Adventure

Both of our high school sons were struggling with a pre-calculus course following a change in school districts. On a weekly basis, Lauren worked with them to go over homework, to focus on the difficulties particular to each child and to prepare for their exams. She was always polite, professional and punctual. Lauren's tutoring efforts helped my boys to pass a class that had them completely stressed out and overwhelmed. We would absolutely ask Lauren to tutor our boys again in the future.

 My daughter has been working with Lauren off and on for over a year. We have worked with several other tutors that my daughter has not connected with like she has connected with Lauren. She actually looks forward to meeting with her each week, vs it being a battle and a chore. She has gone from failing to getting mostly A's and B's. Lauren has been instrumental in helping my daughter improve not only her grade in algebra, but she is also helping her become more confident in herself, in knowing that she actually can understand and do the work, which is a huge accomplishment.

 Lauren has tutored me for several years and even though I disliked the subject of math, I always looked forward to seeing her. She was incredibly kind and patient with me even if I was tired or being a bit slow with solving problems. She didn't care how many times she'd have to explain it or how many different ways she would have to explain things, what was important to her was that I understood in the end. She always made me feel good about myself and shut down any negative self-talk when I would feel "dumb" for not understanding something. Lauren also helped me realize my strengths too and would encourage me to figure out things the way that was best for me instead of a more "traditional" approach.

 We think the world of Lauren and we are extremely grateful for her positive impact on our daughter as her math tutor. Our daughter was struggling with math in general and was failing algebra and geometry. And, for a season, we were deeply concerned over whether she would be able to graduate high school. We were very grateful to have Lauren as our daughter's math tutor for about 3 years. Lauren was just what she needed. She was so personable, compassionate, and patient in working with our daughter. In short, Lauren played a significant role in our daughter's completion of algebra and geometry, passing her required end of year assessments, and earning the necessary credits for graduation! We are excited that Lauren is pursuing a position in education. And we highly recommend her as she possesses the character, passion, temperament, and competence to be an exceptional educator!
